The challenge of our age is to stay grounded in what we really care about while we dodge a barrage of bs from marketers that seeks to distract us by disguising there desperate traps as culture. Our universal need to create, share, and experience music makes us particularly vulnerable to this barrage of industrialized pseudo creativity. Its not that all commercial stuff is bad. But it often gives one that nagging, Neo-from-the-Matrix, something-is-wrong-here feeling.

Increasingly our search for music and perspectives that resonate with our inner perceptions takes us to disparate and decentralized hubs. This audio-blogazine (this is a made up word by the way)strives to serve as such a hub for lovers of inspiring soulful music of all kinds but especially music with roots in the African rhythms or the soul and blues traditions of the African diaspora. From Dance music to urban anthems, we'll keep digging for gems and at the same time attempt to gain insight and understanding through this music.
